Origin of the name: Hebron, the city of refuge

The House of Hebron is not just a church, but a spiritual commission from the Bible.

A city that bears grace and protection

The name "House of Hebron" comes from the city of Hebron in the Bible.

Joshua 21:13 records that the Israelites divided Hebron and its surrounding fields among the descendants of Aaron the priest. Hebron was also one of the cities of refuge established in the Old Testament.

In the Old Testament law, cities of refuge were places of refuge prepared by God for those who had committed manslaughter, protecting them from private retaliation before their cases were handled according to the law. The establishment of cities of refuge shows us that God values justice and provides protection and a way out for people.

Fleeing the city does not mean that one can escape responsibility, but rather that one should receive the protection and trial they deserve within a just order.

This biblical background became an important foundation for the Hebron family to receive spiritual visions.

In Christ, we find true refuge.

For the House of Hebron, the refuge and mercy offered by the city of refuge pointed to the grace we receive in Jesus Christ.

In Christ we believe:

  • With forgiveness of sins, one can repent and start anew.

  • Wounded lives can be gradually restored through God's love and truth.

  • Past failures should not define a person forever.

  • Once life is established, a person can respond to God's call again.

We hope that everyone who comes here can experience God's love, face their lives in truth, and regain hope in grace.

Why is it called "House of Hebron"?

"Hebron" carries the spiritual image of a city of refuge; "House" expresses our hope for the church.

What we long to build is not just a place for gatherings, but a spiritual family filled with love, truth, and companionship.

Here, people can come before God with genuine needs, grow in the company of their spiritual family, rediscover their identity in Christ, and gradually walk toward the path God has prepared for their lives.

We do not define a person by their past, nor do we measure the value of a life by outward appearances. We are willing to build one another up in truth, support one another in grace, and learn together to follow Jesus.

The House of Hebron is a spiritual home where people find refuge, experience restoration, and start anew.

May everyone who comes here come to know Jesus more deeply, experience His love, and find true hope in Him.

"God is our refuge, our strength, and our ever-present help in times of trouble."

— Psalm 46:1 (KJV)
