Rahab

(Docas/多加) Pastor Zhang

Founder and Senior Pastor of Hebron House

Pastor Zhang Duojia is the founder and head of Hebron House. His main ministry focuses on daily Bible reading, healing and deliverance, discipleship training, prophetic revelation and equipping, the development of courses at the River of Life Academy, and the edification of leaders in God's Kingdom.

She had long been involved in education. After experiencing the lows, failures, healing, and rebuilding of her life, she received a deeper understanding of God's calling to her: to help the wounded to be restored in Christ, to rediscover their identity as children of God's Kingdom, and to be equipped to enter into the gifts, calling, and destiny that God has given them.

She believes that Jesus Christ is our refuge and the source of our river of life. A true leader capable of carrying out the mission of God's kingdom does not begin with outward achievements, but with the altar, surrender, and acceptance of God's shaping.

From Brokenness to Destiny: A Life Healed, Called, and Sent by God

Chapter 1 | Profound Shattering and Trials (2014–2017)

In 2014, I experienced one of the darkest periods of my life. Severe depression and anxiety forced me to rely on medication for three consecutive years. At that time, in the eyes of the world, I was practically a "failure." - Investment failures - Marital difficulties - Broken relationship with my daughter - Disordered interpersonal relationships - Career setbacks - Outwardly, I seemed to be able to continue living, but inwardly, I was already withered. Those were days filled with pain and helplessness. However, even though I couldn't see a way out then, God was still working in my life.

Chapter Two: God's Supernatural Healing (September 2017)

One day in late September 2017, while I was driving, I suddenly heard a voice clearly say to me: "You're not sick, so why are you taking medication?" At that moment, I immediately responded, "Yes, I'm not sick, so why should I continue taking these medications?" The next day, I stopped all medications related to depression and anxiety. From that day on, I chose to look to God in faith, rely on Him, and began to experience a transformation in my life. Looking back, this became a significant turning point in my journey of faith, and the starting point for my search for healing and recovery. This experience is my personal faith testimony and does not mean that others should stop taking medication on their own; any adjustments to medication should be discussed with a qualified medical professional.

Chapter 3: Re-equipped and Reshaped by God (2020)

On March 8, 2020, under God's guidance, I registered for the Love Garden International Leadership Academy (online school) to pursue a Master of Pastoral Studies. On March 15, I officially began my online studies and completed 110 credits in just 11 months. During that time, I felt like a parched sponge being immersed in living water, constantly absorbing spiritual nourishment. At that time, I was still like a beginner on the spiritual path, with much to learn and understand. However, God did not abandon me because of my shortcomings; instead, He shaped and enlightened me step by step, enabling me to know Him more deeply and gradually understand the path He had prepared for me. I increasingly understand that God's calling is not just an identity, but a continuous process of being equipped, transformed, and shaped by Him.

Chapter 4: The Vision and Call at 2:03 AM (July 23, 2020)

Late at night on July 22, 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic was still spreading globally, and people were filled with fear and uncertainty. That night, as usual, I turned on my Bible player before bed and played Ecclesiastes chapter 3, hoping to fall asleep peacefully with God's word in my ears. While I was fast asleep, I clearly felt someone gently patting my right shoulder. I woke up, feeling a little scared. I was lying on my left side at the time, and instinctively looked to my left front, vaguely seeing an extremely tall figure. Just then, I heard the Bible player continue playing, and the content had come to Isaiah chapter 6. The scripture reads: "Then I heard the voice of the Lord say, 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?' I said, 'Here I am; send me!'" —Isaiah 6:8 Then the scripture continued to verse 13, describing how after the city was destroyed, the remnant was preserved, just as the stumps of chestnut and oak trees remain after they have been cut down; and those stumps are still the holy kind. When I heard this passage, all my fear vanished. At that moment, I heard a clear and firm message in my heart: "In this generation, you don't need to prepare a farm, you don't need to prepare a house, you don't need to prepare food, and you don't need to prepare money. I want you to prepare only one thing—faith. You are that stump. Even though the chestnut and oak trees have been cut down, you will still stand and remain. Do not be afraid; only believe." I immediately picked up my phone and took a screenshot of the Bible player. The screenshot was taken at 2:03 AM on July 23, 2020. From that night on, I had a deeper conviction in God's calling. I believed that God called me to stand in faith in a turbulent and uncertain world, to be someone who receives the mission of healing, restoration, and sending. The tree stump that remained after being cut down became a profound reminder in my life: even in the face of breakage, God can preserve the foundation of life, allowing new hope to continue to grow. This calling also became an important foundation for the ministry of the Hebron House.

Chapter 5: The Birth of the Ministry of the City of Hebron (2021)

In January 2021, God placed a clear vision in my heart: to establish a spiritual "city of refuge," a home where people can be healed, restored, and rebuilt. In prayer, the Holy Spirit led Sister Nina Lai and me to meditate on the passage about the city of Hebron in Joshua 21:13 and to receive its spiritual meaning. Hebron was a city of refuge, prepared for those who had accidentally hurt others and needed refuge; it also shows us that the wounded need a place to rest, receive help, and start anew. Hebron was also one of the cities of refuge managed by priests, which became an important inspiration for receiving our ministry vision. Therefore, we named our ministry "House of Hebron." On January 1, 2021, House of Hebron began as a Bible reading group of only three people, with the goal of reading the Bible once a year. Under God's guidance and protection, this small beginning has gradually developed into a ministry and church centered on healing and deliverance, discipleship training, and the fivefold ministry leadership training. We hope that the House of Hebron will become a spiritual home where the weary can find rest, the wounded can be healed, believers can grow in the truth, and be equipped to respond to God's calling to their lives.

Chapter Six | Testimonies of Failure Turned Around by God

Chapter Seven | The Confirmed Call and Ordination (2022-2023)

After receiving my calling, I didn't rush to pursue any titles or positions. Instead, I continued to faithfully serve at the Hebron House and learn to grow before God. One day in late October 2022, Pastor Chen Jieling asked me a question that shocked me deeply: "If you are willing to become a pastor, I can ordain you." My first reaction wasn't joy, but a deep sense of trepidation and unworthiness. I knew my pastoral studies weren't yet complete, and my ministry at the Hebron House had only lasted two years. By human standards, I didn't seem qualified enough. Therefore, I honestly responded to Pastor Chen, hoping to first seek confirmation from God. At that time, I was going through an extremely important and difficult period in my life. I was trying to remarry my husband, but he was very resistant. So, I sought confirmation from God: if the remarriage could be accomplished, I would consider it God's response to the ordination proposal. On the evening of December 24, 2022, I received a phone call from India. The caller was Prophet David Daniel. Upon answering, he addressed me directly as "Pastor." I immediately replied, "I'm not a pastor; I'm just a sister who loves the Lord wholeheartedly." However, he firmly told me, "You are a pastor." He then told me about a special meeting planned for March 14, 2023, in Dallas, and offered to ordain me at the meeting if I wished. Even more gratefully, my relationship with my husband took a turn for the better afterward. Because of the continued change in my life, he finally agreed to remarry me. We officially remarried on January 26, 2023. This event became a profoundly meaningful response for me when I sought confirmation from God. Finally, at 5 PM on March 14, 2023, at the special meeting in Dallas, Pastor Chen Jieling and Prophet David Daniel laid their hands on my head to ordain me. From a sister who simply loved the Lord with a pure heart and was willing to serve faithfully, to accepting the commission of pastoral ministry, this experience has made me realize more deeply that serving God is not about gaining human approval, but about being willing to respond to His calling in His time. For me, ordination is not just a position or title, but a responsibility that needs to be continuously undertaken with humility, faithfulness, and reverence for God.

Chapter 8 | A Message to This Generation

The House of Hebron is not for the perfect, but for those who are experiencing healing, restoration, and calling. If you have ever been broken, stumbled, rejected, or misunderstood, do not think your story is over. This is not a place to condemn, but a home that hopes to bring you back to Jesus and to give you renewed strength in Him. We believe that God can still heal wounded hearts, restore broken relationships, strengthen the weak, and help everyone who seeks Him to come to know their identity, gifts, and calling. No matter what stage of life you are in now, you can come before God authentically. Because being broken is not the end, and failure does not have to be the final outcome. **In Christ, you can still be healed, restored, and reintegrated into the path God has prepared for you.** We sincerely invite you to get to know the House of Hebron, to grow together in God's Word, and to experience renewal in His love and truth.
