The Received and Origin of Visions
A vision received in prayer and put into practice in life.
Begin with prayer
In January 2021, during prayer and seeking God, Pastor Zhang Duojia received a vision of establishing the "Hebron City of Escape".
As Pastor Zhang Duojia continued to share the inspiration God had given her, Sister Nina Lai also received the guidance of the Holy Spirit and, moved by the experience, wrote down this vision and mission.
During that time, Joshua 21:13 became a particularly important passage in this vision, prompting us to think more deeply about the significance of the city of Hebron and God's heart for the wounded.
This understanding gradually shaped the name, vision, and mission of the House of Hebron.
Why do we need a spiritual home?
In our generation, many people experience different forms of pain.
Some people have been hurt in their relationships, some have lost confidence because of past failures, some have been misunderstood or labeled, and some are at a low point in their lives and don't know how to start over.
Even people in the church may experience moments of disappointment, hurt, or misunderstanding.
The vision embodied in the House of Hebron is a response to the needs of these lives.
We hope to establish a spiritual family centered on Jesus Christ, so that people can come before God with true life and experience companionship, healing and restoration in truth and grace.
We believe that a person's life should not be defined solely by past experiences. God can still work in a person, enabling them to regain hope, grow in Him, and live a new life.
It's not just an organization, it's a family.
The Hebron House aspires to build not just an organization with meetings and ministries, but a spiritual family where people love and support one another.
We yearn for:
To provide acceptance and companionship to those who are hurt.
To help those who have experienced failure rediscover God's grace.
It allows people to confront the questions of life in the truth and gradually move towards recovery.
It allows people to know Jesus more deeply and build a close relationship with God.
May the life that has been established continue to grow and respond to God's call.
We also know that true recovery takes time, requires God's work, and requires continuous growth in a spiritual relationship based on truth, prayer, and health.
Therefore, we hope to fulfill the mission entrusted to us by God with humility, love, and faithfulness.
Continue to respond to the initial call
Since receiving the vision in January 2021, the Hebron House has valued not only the progress of its ministry, but also whether lives have truly been brought to Jesus.
Our hope is always that Christ should be the center, grace should be our attitude toward one another, truth should be the foundation of our spiritual growth, and the church should be a spiritual family that supports one another.
May everyone who comes to the House of Hebron find hope in Christ, experience restoration of life, and start anew under God's guidance.
This is the origin of the House of Hebron, and the vision we continue to receive.
