Rahab Zhang
Founder & Senior Pastor
Rahab Zhang - Pastor Dorcas, is the founder and leader of Hebron House. Her primary areas of ministry include daily Bible study, healing and deliverance, discipleship training, prophetic revelation and equipping, River of Life Academy curriculum development, and equipping leaders for the Kingdom of God.
She spent many years investing in and serving in the field of education. After experiencing seasons of hardship, failure, healing, and rebuilding in her own life, she received a deeper understanding of God’s calling: to help wounded people find restoration in Christ, rediscover their identity as children of the Kingdom of God, and be equipped to walk in their individual gifts, callings, and God-given destinies.
She believes that Jesus Christ is our refuge and the source of the River of Life. True leaders who are able to carry the Kingdom of God do not begin with outward achievements, but with the altar, surrender, and being shaped by God.
Her life message can be summed up in one sentence:
“True leaders of God do not begin at the pulpit, but at the altar.”
Life Scripture:
“We have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.” — 2 Corinthians 4:7

From Brokenness to Destiny. A Life Healed, Called, and Sent by God
Founder | Pastor Dorcas Zhang
The birth of the House of Hebron ministry did not come from human ambition. It was born out of a deeply personal journey of healing, transformation, and divine calling.
1. Beginning in Deep Brokenness
In 2014, I went through one of the darkest seasons of my life. Severe depression and anxiety caused me to rely on medication for three consecutive years. At that time, in the eyes of the world, I seemed like a “failure”:
Failed investments
A failed marriage
A broken relationship with my daughter Disordered relationships
Career setbacks
Outwardly I appeared to be surviving, but inwardly I was completely drained and empty.
2. The Moment God Personally Intervened
One day in late September 2017, while I was driving, I suddenly heard a clear voice say to me:
“You are not sick. Why are you taking medicine?”.
In that moment, I responded,
“That’s right. I am not sick. Why should I continue taking these medications?”
The very next day, I stopped all medication related to depression and anxiety. From that day forward, I chose to no longer rely on medicine, but to rely solely on God and place my full trust in Him.That moment became a turning point of faith, and the true beginning of my journey into healing and restoration.
3. Being Re-Equipped and Reshaped by God
On March 8, 2020, under God’s leading, I enrolled in the International Leadership Seminary of Aixiuyuan to pursue a Master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry. On March 15, I officially began my online studies. Within just eleven months, I completed 110 academic credits. During that season, I felt like a dry sponge fully immersed in living water, desperately absorbing spiritual nourishment. At the time, I was almost a complete beginner in the spiritual realm. Yet God personally shaped me, opened my understanding, called me, and led me step by step into the destiny He had prepared for me.
4. A Clear Calling and Commissioning Personally Called by God in a Dark Generation
On the night of July 22, 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the world was filled with fear and uncertainty, I followed my usual routine of turningon a Bible audio app before going to sleep.
That night, I chose to play Ecclesiastes Chapter 3 and quietly fell asleep while listening to God’s Word.
While I was sleeping, I distinctly felt someone gently tap my right shoulder. I woke up immediately, feeling a sense of fear. I had been lying on my left side, and instinctively looked forward to my left, where I faintly perceived an extremely tall figure.
At that moment, the Bible audio began playing Isaiah Chapter 6:
“I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’”
Isaiah 6:8
The passage continued playing through verse 13, describing cities left in desolation, a remnant preserved, and the stump of a felled oak and terebinth tree, still containing a holy seed.
As I listened, all fear completely vanished. In that moment, I heard a clear and firm voice within my heart say:
“In this generation, you do not need to prepare a farm.
You do not need to prepare a house.
You do not need to prepare food.
You do not need to prepare money.
The only thing I want you to prepare is faith.
You are that stump.
Even if the oak and terebinth are cut down, you must remain standing.
Do not be afraid. Only believe.”
I immediately picked up my phone and took a screenshot of the Bible audio player. The exact time was clearly recorded as 2:03 a.m. on July 23, 2020. From that night on, there was no longer any doubt in my heart. I knew this was a clear and personal calling and commissioning from God. He was not asking me to prepare material resources for a turbulent world. Instead, He was calling me to stand in a dark generation as the preserved “stump,” carrying the mission of healing, restoration, and commissioning.
5. The Birth of House of Hebron
In January 2021, God released a clear vision to establish a spiritual “City of Refuge,” a home for healing and restoration. Through prayer, the Holy Spirit led both Sister Nina Lai and me to receive the revelation of Joshua 21:13 regarding Hebron as a City of Refuge. Hebron was prepared both for those who had unintentionally caused harm and for those who had already been wounded. It was also the only City of Refuge governed by priests. For this reason, the ministry was named House of Hebron.
On January 1, 2021, House of Hebron began as a small Bible reading group of only three people, committed to reading through the Bible in one year. Under God’s guidance and protection, it gradually grew into a ministry and church centered on healing and deliverance, discipleship training, and equipping leaders in the Fivefold Ministry.
6. A Testimony of Failure Redeemed by God
In the eyes of the world, I was once seen as a failure.
But in God’s hands, failure is never the final outcome.
When I fully turned my focus to God, my marriage was restored. My relationship with my daughter was healed and rebuilt with closeness and understanding. Trust and respect in my relationships were renewed.
Although worldly investments failed, God Himself raised up Kingdom work to glorify His name.
Only God can transform a so called “failure” and “sinner” into a servant He chooses to use.
7. A Confirmed Calling and Ordination
Not a self chosen title, but a God affirmed commission
After God clearly revealed His calling to me, I did not rush to pursue any title or position. Instead, I focused on serving faithfully within the House of Hebron ministry and continuing to grow.
In late October 2022, God’s servant Pastor Chen Jieling asked me a question that deeply surprised me:
“If you are willing to become a pastor, I can ordain you.”
My first response was not excitement, but a deep sense of awe and unworthiness.
I knew clearly that my seminary studies were not yet fully completed. My ministry experience at House of Hebron was only about two years, and by human standards, I did not seem “qualified enough”
Therefore, I honestly replied to Pastor Chen:
“I need to ask God for a confirmation.”
At that time, I was in one of the most critical and challenging seasons of my life. I was trying to reconcile and remarry my husband, but he was strongly resistant to the idea. So I set a sign before God: if the restoration of our marriage could be fulfilled, I would accept this pastoral ordination as truly coming from Him.
On the evening of December 24, 2022, I received an unexpected phone call from India. The caller was Prophet David Daniel. As soon as the call connected, he addressed me directly as “Pastor.”
I immediately replied, “I am not a pastor. I am just a sister who sincerely loves the Lord.”
But he firmly responded, “You are a pastor.” He then told me that he was planning a conference in Dallas on March 14, 2023, and said that if I was willing, he would ordain me during that gathering.
Even more remarkably, after this, God personally began to work in my husband’s life. Because of the genuine and ongoing transformation in my life, he finally
agreed to remarry me. On January 26, 2023, we officially remarried. This was the confirmation I had asked of God, and His direct answer to my prayer.
Finally, on March 14, 2023, at 5:00 p.m., during the conference in Dallas, Pastor Chen Jieling and Prophet David Daniel laid hands on me. I was set apart and
affirmed, transitioning from a sister who simply loved the Lord and served faithfully into a servant of the Lord, called and ordained as a pastor to glorify God.
At that moment, I became even more certain that ordination is not human promotion, but God’s confirmation of His calling in His perfect timing.
8. A Message to This Generation
House of Hebron was not established for perfect people, but for those who are being healed, restored, and called.
If you have ever been broken, fallen, rejected, or misunderstood, this is not a place of condemnation.
This is a home that leads you back into the presence of Jesus.
